Eberron Campaign Begins
We are taking a break from the high powered adventurers and harem of Harsk Godke and co and embarking on a new adventure into the world of Eberron using Pathfinder rules.
Katelina
Background:
• Birthplace: Born in the city of Sharn to unknown parents – my father doesn’t know I exist, and my mother didn’t want me is a common thing, Katelyn realised her abilities from an early age and after many beatings and worse, she chose to show her human face to the world.
Born in Clifflside, she has travelled most of the city’s lower districts/levels – from Dura toe Menthis and even to North Edge.
• Appearance: Innocent red haired girl with pale skin and freckles and blue or green eyes. Wearing commoner, poor clothing normally and usually appearing unarmed (concealed daggers, sap)
• Moral Code (Alignment): Been born on the streets, she has become a rogue and sometimes a courtesan (a whore). Her intelligence and charisma has led her to be a quick learner and very social, and even manipulative when the timing is right. The hardships of street life have also melted away her innocence and she has grown up thinking: if you want something, take it and it doesn’t matter if anyone gets hurt. On occasion she will assist those who are mistreated or hard on their luck.
Killing: Is killing acceptable? I guess. I have killed before – didn’t feel much about it either. I have seen people killed before my eyes. Once I murdered a young man during an act of passion just to see what it was like and to feel his blood on my skin. It felt nice… However, 9 times out of 10, she uses her sap in battle to render her opponents unconscious. “You never know – the one you kill today, may have been the one that saves you tomorrow”
• Religion: Not openly ‘worshipped’ but may mention them from time to time
o Olladra – god of good fortune
o Traveller – mysterious god of shapeshifters
o The Fury – god of passion
• Allegiance? – None known – although she ‘works’ for her fence Grunner at times. Other than stolen goods that are sold to her fence, she will also perform tasks for the Network when asked. Has performed some B& E before as requested by her fence. Her fence is a human male named Grunner – he operates out of an old warehouse in the docks or poor district of Sharn (Duran). He is no more than a fence and she will not consider him a friend. On occasion she has slept with him – and he paid her to do so.
• Sex: Sex is a tool to get what you want. Most often she uses sex to get a roof over her head for the night and to earn some silver. She has found that she can change her physical form to a male as well, and has done so in order to seduce women – just to see what it is like.
So far she has had sex as a human female with human males, a human female once and a half ork male. Most were paid encounters. She has also had sex as a male with a few females – these were seductions on her part and once she paid for it. She has also been an elf female once and had long lasting sex with an elf male. He seemed to vanish after that night – his name was Mythrin.
So far, she has never fallen pregnant from any of these encounters nor suffered from any diseases either. She theorises that she will only have a child with her own kind, what ever that may be.
• Goals: To simply survive. She is too young to think of the future. She has realised by now that she is not human, but has no idea of what she may be – she has no knowledge of the changelings.
• Fears: Imprisonment. She has seen the inside of a jail cell before and has suffered from the beatings and occasionally rape of the city guard. She has a fear that is quite severe and she will do anything to escape imprisonment including fighting to the death if needed.
• Love: The feeling she gets when she enters someone’s home and stalks around in the shadows looking for some treasures.
• Hate: Prisons and jailors and corrupt city watch – even though she has bribed and seduced her way out of trouble on many occasions.
• Name: Katelina or Katelyn or Kate or Kat. She chose the name after seeing a cat and was asked by someone. The name stuck. Now and then she will throw together other names – Brina, Zim, Carlisle – whatever comes to mind.
• Friends: She technically has one friend who owns a tavern/inn in the lower districts of Sharn. His name is Pen – a human male. She was hired to sing and dance at his tavern after his brother died, and was able to keep the customers and help him sought out the finances. Now and then she works there as a singer, dancer, barwhench or whore. Most of the time she works for a roof over her head and a meal.
• Enemies: None that she knows of. The city watch I guess as she doesn’t like them much, but they are not truly enemies.
