Are you Locally Social?

As we all know by now, Google Social search is going to be a big thing.  Little tweaks here and there to the algorithm are signs that social search and local search are going to be the mainstay or the bench mark of future SEO efforts.

The question is: Are you Locally Social?
No, I am not asking if you go out to clubs or dancing or the local bar every night. I am talking about your website.

Ask these questions:

  • How often does your site or company name appear in social networks such as Twitter?
  • Do you have accounts on social network pages? Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn?
    • What are you doing with them?
    • Do you have profiles that link to your main pages?
    • Does your profile mention your location and contact details?
  • How often do you engage on your social network sites?

All these questions are important.  If you cannot answer any of them then you have work to do and if you are too busy to do that, perhaps get an SEO Company to help you out?

The future of Search is going to be Social, and the best way to feed the search engines is to do it locally…
